| Blackguard Renegade |
You begin
your journey as the unknown Blackguard fugitive recently captured by his Cirigoth masters with the help of their western allies, the Tyr-Anox. Awakened by a strange voice in his mind, this "mad knight" of Cirigon realizes not only is he free from his bonds, but his prison cell door is mysteriously open. He decides to escape and run for freedom, beginning his struggle against the fate his masters have bestowed upon him. The dark arts come naturally to the Blackguard, and he is trained to wear heavy and medium armors. Cursed swords of evil are the weapon of choice for Blackguards, but they are also proficient in regular swords, axes, and hammers. |
| Drakeor Dargoloth |
In visiting the Temple of Aurora, the party encounters
the humble and reserved dragoon knight Drakeor. He
holds the key to opening the temple door, and teams
up with the party to invesitage the ruins.
Drakeor is trained to fight alone,
so many of his abilities solely benefit him. Also,
the most of his dragon summoning powers cannot be
learned through experience. One must pass the tests
at Dragonoir to obtain the blessings of the dragon gods.
Drakeor's high agility, self-preserving skills, and proficiency with
heavy armor allow him to survive when others perish. His preferred weapon is the spear, but Drakeor can also use axes and hammers.

| Glen Stark |
Leader
of the cavern bandits of Tyr-Anon Valley, the player stumbles upon Glen and
his followers while fleeing enemy pursuit
during a stormy night. Glen is quiet,
cynical, and utterly rational. As a former soldier and sailor, he uses his geographical and maritime knowledge to help plot the party's course. While most of his skills require a sword, Glen can additionally wield axes and hammers. Proficient in both heavy and medium armor, Glen can sacrifice defense to improve his speed. Glen can hunt with either a sword or axe.

| Julia Howell |
Julia is stationed at the Eridwell Valiantide Base headed
by Commander Lysander, who is less than pleased at having
to tolerate her presence. Something personal and horrific
out of Julia's past troubles her, but only in time will
she reveal the truth behind her fears. Julia is Meredith's
equal in restorative White Magic, but not in personality and ambition.
Often lazy and unenthusiastic, Julia can seem like a stump
in the road, but quickly surrenders to necessity. Julia can use
staves, wands, and whips as weapons, and as a wizard requires
light armor. When hunting, Julia can use a staff or wand to
launch a magical projectile at the prey.
|
| Justin Stryker |
As the party enters the fortress Vanguard to pass into the
heart of Seraphia, Colonel Justin greets and questions
them. He suspects their true identity and
the implications of offering aid, but as war is imminent
he decides to escort the party personally to Seraphia
castle. Despite his arrogance and fool-hardiness, Justin is
a fierce combatant devoted to the global rebellion against the
Cirigoth Empire. In addition to axes and hammers, Justin is
proficient in both regular and dueling swords. He can wear
heavy or light armor to best suit the situation.
|
| Keen Foulke |
A thief and illusionist of dubious renown,
when the party meets up with this wild cat he's
finally been caught and thrown in jail.
There could not have been a better cell mate for the
group, however, as Keen is a skilled escape artist,
with the ability to pick locks in no time at all.
Keen can makes use of medium armors to preserve
his high speed. He is familiar with knives,
double-bladed swords, projectile weapons, and
light swords, axes, and hammers. Keen's skills are
based on illusionary magic, causing extra damage to
foes weak of mind.
|
| Meredith Oakheart |
The party
runs into Meredith in Tyr-Anon's secret underground
base beneath Portown, where she is trying to spy on
a meeting between the General and high-ranking Cirigoth
officials. Although usually optimistic,
Meredith has her doubts about her abilities and the
party's fate. As a White Wizard, her skills and
dependancy on light armor mirror those of Julia, but in
addition to staves and wands, Meredith can also use bows
and arrows in battle and hunting.
|
| Sammy Hogan |
Part of
Glen's cave gang, Sammy has wandered far from his
original life as a monk. Harboring a deep hatred for
General Gerovitus of Tyr-Anon, Sammy constantly
struggles with his desire for vengeance. Sammy
acts as one of the party's morale builders,
and is a powerful combatant with his high vitality
and strength. His weapon of choice is clawed gloves,
and he is the only hero capable of dual wielding. In
exchange, Sammy cannot equip shields. He is also
limited to medium armor. Sammy must get close to the
prey when hunting to score a hit with his fists.
|
| Vetu |
While
at Seraphia castle, Justin takes Vetu into his custody
upon suspicion he is a sorcerer of Cirigon. At once,
however, the group recognizes that there is something
strange about this mage child who claims to merely
be visiting the west. Whether or not Vetu's age surpasses
that of the others, his personality is that of a child. He is scared
of heights, and often freezes in the face of danger.
With time Vetu learns to conquer his fears and use
his powers to the fullest to aid the party.
Learning a plethora of catastrophic spells, Vetu's magical
offensive firepower is second to none. As a mage he must wear
light armor, and his weapons include staves, rods, and scepters.
Though slow-moving and short distance- Vetu can throw fireballs
while hunting.
|
| Vixen Valencia |
One of
the two characters capable of summoning and the only
dedicated magic user who can also deal serious physical
damage, Vixen is a dangerous force to be reckoned
with. She joins the party along with Willis following
their stay at Fhorestain. Over time her true reasons
for embarking on the journey will be exposed. To increase
her summoning powers, the party must visit and open the
temples of the Thirteen gods and goddesses, and defeat
their avatars in combat. Vixen can only wear light armor,
but is proficient with many weapon types: knives, staves,
wands, rods, whips, and bows and arrows.
|
| Willis Westwood |
This
sharp-shooting lawman joins the party to help escort
the group to the Valiantide Base on Triangle Island,
coming aboard with his partner Vixen. Although his
long-time nemesis Dynamo proves a problem for the
team, Willis and his arsenal of firearms make up
for the trouble. Guns are his exclusive weapon, and
he wears medium armor. His bullets are the fastest and
furthest traveling of hunting projectiles.
